Cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate-Adenosine Monophosphate Synthase

A nucleotidyltransferase that catalyzes the formation of cyclic GMP-AMP in mammals. This activates the STING1 PROTEIN through the CGAS-STING SIGNALING PATHWAY, which triggers the production of INTERFERON TYPE I and other CYTOKINES.
