Haemaphysalis longicornis

A species of tick (TICKS) in the family IXODIDAE, distributed in AUSTRALASIA but establishing in the Eastern UNITED STATES. It is an aggressive biter and can cause severe infestations in livestock. It is also a known/suspected vector of various livestock and human diseases.
