Lactobacillus gasseri

A species of Lactobacillus that occurs in the human ORAL MUCOSA; GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT; and VAGINA. It produces BACTERIOCINS, can modulate the immune response, and is used as a PROBIOTIC.
