Integrated Stress Response

A signaling pathway that enables cells to adapt to various stressors by modulating protein synthesis. It is initiated by the activation of specific PROTEIN KINASES (e.g., PERK, GCN2, PKR, and HRI) in response to distinct stress signals, including amino acid deprivation, VIRAL INFECTIONS, and OXIDATIVE STRESS.
