Ultrasound imaging of the CAROTID ARTERIES to measure their morphological components such as arterial wall shape and thickness; ATHEROSCLEROTIC PLAQUE; and STENOSIS. BLOOD CIRCULATION in the carotid is visualized via DOPPLER ULTRASONOGRAPHY.
